Zetec to Present Latest NDT Technology & Insights at ASNT Annual Conference 2018

Zetec will demonstrate its newest nondestructive testing solutions and deliver two presentations on innovative ultrasound and eddy current technology at the ASNT Annual Conference 2018 in Houston, Texas, from Oct. 28-31. The Zetec exhibit (booth #902) will feature a range of industry-leading nondestructive testing (NDT) instruments, software, and probes including the new MIZ®-21C, the first truly affordable handheld eddy current instrument with surface array capabilities, and TOPAZ®64, a fully integrated, portable 64-channel PAUT instrument with the industry’s most advanced full matrix capture (FMC) and total focusing method (TFM) capabilities.

On Tuesday, Oct. 30, the ASNT technical program will feature two sessions led by Zetec experts:

  • 10:30 a.m.: Zetec Sales Engineer Director Guy Maes will deliver a presentation on “Advanced Focusing Techniques for Improved UT Inspection Capability,” including “live” processing of Full Matrix Capture (FMC) and Total Focusing Method (FMC) using advanced portable phased array UT devices. In addition, considerations about inspection resolution, coverage, and inspection speed will be presented
  • 1 p.m.: Zetec Product Manager Jesse Herrin will discuss “Flaw Detection Capabilities with Eddy Current Array Technology,” including an approach to managing signal-to-noise ratios that allows faster scan speeds and the detection of small flaws and loss of material that can occur in inspections such as friction stir welds and multi-layer structures

The ASNT Annual Conference is the largest, dedicated gathering of industry professionals, equipment and technology suppliers, engineers and researchers working in the field of nondestructive testing and evaluation of materials in the world.
